Open Access activities at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine
To all FBM researchers at UNIL or CHUV,
The publication management unit would like to take the opportunity of the “2016 International Open Access Period” to notify you on events and services that we offer to researchers at all career stages for publishing Open Access and sharing their data.
Practical trainings concerning these topics will be provided by our service on a regular basis starting November 2016:
- Open Access – directives du FNS, droits d’auteur et citations de son travail publié
- Open Data – sets de données de recherche publiés- améliorer la reproductibilité de ses travaux
- Identifiant ORCID – gérer et valoriser sa production scientifique
- Serval2 – ordonner, gérer et valoriser son portefeuille de publications
- Web of Science, InCites2.1, Google Scholar, Altmetrics – maîtriser une bibliométrie diversifiée et responsable
Theory will be taught in French but the powerpoint presentation as well as individual guidance will be provided in English if requested. We invite you to consult the CHUV training center website monday 7th November to discover in detail the program and content of our courses.
Furthermore, we will organize in 2017 a series of workshops entitled “Open Science and Reproducibility” for researchers from UNIL, CHUV, EPFL and UNIGE. This series of events, supported by the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School and the Lemanic Animal Facility Network (RESAL) will be a unique opportunity for you to improve your knowledge on systematic reviews, experimental design and bias, and data management. You will discover specialized services from numerous partners at UNIL and EPFL, Vital-IT / SIB, Scientific Information School, Biotelligences, datasets repositories (figshare / Zenodo), and learn more about publishers expectations concerning these issues.
